About the symposium
The Amsterdam Master of Physics and Astronomy Symposium is organized in a collaboration between the VU and UvA. It offers students of the joined master programs Physics and Astronomy and Astrophysics the opportunity to present their research thesis projects to an audience of fellow master students and scientific staff of the physics research institutes of both universities. At the end of the day, the jury will choose the winning talk, this student will receive 400 Euro. Moreover, an audience prize of 100 Euro is also awarded.
It is an excellent opportunity for bachelor students Physics and Astronomy to get to know the different research programs of the universities and the level at which master students participate in these programs.
Moreover, the symposium provides an opportunity for bachelor students to finalize their choice for a master track.
